NOTE:
a) An employee of any of the communities may be allowed 3 days consecutive
optional leave according to their religion but it should be granted
by the competent authority in beginning of the year. Optional leave
could be granted along with general, government and weekly holidays
under executive order.
b) These holidays are applicable to all offices, institutions and
establishments. But it would not be automatically applicable for
those offices, institutions and establishment where the office time
and leave are controlled under their own rules like banks, insurance
companies, Post and Telegraph and Telephone departments, Railway,
Hospitals and Nationalized Industrial establishment and Institutions
or Business organizations and Factories or where the duties were
declared as Essential Service. The holidays of those offices should
be announced under their own rules considering the public interest.
